Synchronicities, to me, are winks from the Universe, gentle and often whimsical expressions that give me the sense that I’m on the right path. And ever since I announced my word for 2010 was Self-Love, I’ve been coming across new and wonderful resources for the journey!
The first one I am pretty sure I found via Twitter. It comes from the amazing SARK, complete with book recommendations!
YES to More Self Love for You
The World Wide Web being what it is, a sort of rabbit hole crossed with a Choose Your Own Adventure novel, I became immediately intrigued by the blog SARK was contributing to — Crazy Sexy Life. As in Crazy Sexy Cancer, the amazing, inspirational documentary about Kris Carr’s fight against cancer.

I immediately subscribed to the blog and discovered Kris has a couple books and her focus is on wellness via the vegan/raw foods path. While I don’t believe being 100% raw or even vegetarian is the path that’s right for my body, I know that any move in that direction — toward a diet of mainly whole foods, largely plant based and therefore alkaline — is a step on my path to wellness. Additionally, the best way for me to stay on track with eating right is variety, and there are so many awesome raw and vegan recipes that can help me make food more interesting. So I joined Kris’ awesome wellness community, My Crazy Sexy Life. Many of the amazing people there are cancer survivors, though the community has lost some members to the disease as well. Anyone with an interest in wellness is welcome to join.
Another Twitter recommendation that wooed me then wowed me was for this juicy morsel on Dare to Live You, Christine Arylo’s blog:
Are You A Madly in Love with ME Woman?
What a yummy blog! There are 32 posts in the Self-Love category alone! Christine wrote a book called Choosing ME Before WE, which has kind of been my motto for a decade now, I guess it’s time to read it. She also has a community and a blog circle who are all blogging about Self-Love this month.
Tamara Laporte over at Willowing is putting together a book with submissions from community members about The Art of Self Acceptance. I’m dreaming up my submission as we speak!
And I would be remiss if I did not include something from Owning Pink, so here is Tips for Letting Your Freak Flag Fly!
So lots of inspiration brewing my world right now, so stoked about what’s coming up for me in 2010! I hope you’ll have fun with all the links and resources I’m finding.
