The Great She planted the seed of a beautiful yet mysterious tree, in the belly of a woman. This was a woman who dwelt, uninspired, in a great grey city. She moved through her colorless days not comprehending the Greatness that lay within her and before her.

The seed took hold. It filled her with a longing for her Mother, the Earth, but it did not bear fruit. She lived with this longing for many years.

Do you know this longing? This yearning to live a bigger life, a more meaningful life, a dancing, poetic, wildly rich life? Consider this your soul’s call to return.

I’ll be sharing 31 days of inspirations and prompts; 31 days of my heart whispering to yours as together we tend the sacred fire of your deep soul desire to live a life of Yes. Leaping, dancing, singing Yes.

What perfect time to re-connect with the Deep You Within; amidst the hustle and bustle of the holidays, you can choose instead to nourish your own longings and take the long view of 2012 as you prepare for the clean slate of a New Year, full of soul making opportunity to reach the Greatest potential within your acorn.

One day, she saw a beautiful tree on the outskirts of the city, standing proud and free beside a field of flowers. She stopped to admire it, with its branches dancing in the wind under the burning brightness of a sky star.

31 days of my heart whispering to yours as together we tend the sacred fire of your deep soul desire to live a life of YES!

As she looked up into its strong arms, outstretched without a hint of shyness or fear, she saw herself. She saw the tree that was she. She saw the potential reach of her own vast limbs as they grew skyward, and she imagined her roots nestled deep in the warm embrace of the Earth, her Mother, for whom she so longed.

You have permission to be held within the arms of your longing, and you have permission to reach as high as you like and expand and grow into your own Almighty Yes-ness!

Each day I will share a form of medicine: a story, a song, a beat. Each day I will be coaxing out your Inner Wise Self and teaching you how to converse; how to speak the language of your own soul.

You can do one of these prompts. You can do them all. You can come back later. You can paint them, sing them, play them or just read them. You can save them up for a rainy day. You can keep them to yourself, or you can shout your responses from the rooftops. Your soul will guide the way.

She began to nourish the tree inside her, no longer just an acorn. She poured water on her gifts, her dreams, her passions. She let them run barefoot in the grass in the full light of the sun, with little care as to who was watching, for she knew she had no choice now, but to blossom.

She could not but blossom.

As her roots went deeper and deeper into the soil of her Mother Ground, the stronger her limbs became, and the farther her reach into the heavens. Nestled in her Mother’s arms, she grew fierce and wild and true. She began tending to her dreams, reaching ever upward.

To reach for the stars, you must nourish the ground you stand on.

As a modern-day Persephone, I’m well-versed in the mysteries of birth, death and healing, and I will be with you on the journey as the guardian, protectress of your wandering soul-spirit, initiator at the door between worlds.

To begin our time together in your soul's Eden, we'll tune into our inner compasses and follow our noses.

As each day passed the knowledge of her purpose became clearer. She knew she was to cultivate her gifts in a great garden, to be shared amongst the many, while protecting the sacred trust of her mother, the Earth, of which we are all a part.

Thus flourishes the Goddess Tree.
